the origins of the cover chosen as a companion to this release is an image directly taken from the cover of a book called "Prophet of The Covenant" by the Robert Warson (M.A., B.D.). it celebrates the life of the figure of Alexander Peden, a Presbyterian Protestant religious cult leader from Seventeeth-Century Scotland ~ an ardent enemy of the hierarchal imperial system.

a pariah & a covenant minister, truly his story is one of contextually relevant infighting between the Scottish & English factions at the time, and its echos can be felt many hundreds of years later. his religious beliefs aside, what his moniker came to represent for many is the performative way we can interact with society, and in his usage of his own mask in order to attempt to evade direct persecution, the quest for definition in a rigged, clownish society is one that, in its core essence, is the quest of many.

the image of Peden's eerie mask represents a contortion of character and the usage of a guise as a means of transformation.
